Henna takes around 30 minutes to dry so prepare to have the area you want henna’d to be uncovered for at least 30-45 mins.

Make sure to avoid any oils or lotions on the area that henna will be applied.

You want to avoid water for the first day so make sure to shower before your session.

For the following day’s shower you want to apply a generous amount of coconut oil, vaseline, or a natural balm on the stain to protect it from water.

Henna takes around 48 hours to fully darken. It starts out a bright orange and gradually darkens to a reddish/brown, so don’t freak out when it’s light when it first comes off!

You should book bridal henna at least 3 months in advance for a guaranteed spot. If you book less than two months in advance, there's a high chance I won't be available!

You should keep natural henna on for at least 6 hours, I recommend 12 hours. When you are ready to take the henna off, don't wash it off. Scrape it off with a flat, blunt object like a credit card or dull butterknife. Remove any hard to remove henna pieces by letting the henna soften up using coconut or any kind of oil. Once removed, try to avoid contact with water for 24 hours, as water doesn't let the henna oxidize and stain as dark. Your henna stain will reach it's darkest point 48 hours after removal!

All bookings require a non-refundable deposit. This deposit is deducted from your overall cost and is non-refundable. If you reschedule more than one in advance, the deposit can be transferred to another day. If you cancel/reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment, the deposit is lost and a new deposit will be required to re-book.

I provide a one-time complimentary 30-minute bridal consultation for every single bride interested in booking her. Each consultation includes helping the bride determine what her unique bridal mehndi style is. I work with each bride to customize her bridal design to her own needs. She can match her motifs to the bridal outfits or draw matching designs on the wedding cake!

If you are skeptical about skill or the henna stain, brides also have the option of booking a trial. Prices for the trial depend on what design would be done, but up to 10% can be deducted from the bridal henna if it is booked within a week of the trial.

In my years of experience, there has never been one party where henna body art was not the most popular activity/entertainment.

With 3+ years of experience, I have developed an incredible speed of doing mehndi. I only spends 4-5 minutes to create a simple design; that's 12-15 one-sided hands per hour! I understand that your bridesmaids may get larger designs. Full hands take longer to do because of the intricacies involved and can be 10-25 minutes per design. I recommend saving full designs for immediate family members only or hiring the appropriate number of artists per the amount of guests needing mehndi.
