Who Are We?
As children of immigrants, we always sought ways to support small businesses owned by immigrants in our community. However, as we grew older, we realized that we tended to stick to the businesses we had known for years, rarely exploring newer establishments. Both the South Asian community heavily relied on word-of-mouth recommendations, but there had never been a dedicated platform for discovering new businesses within our communities. Consequently, many new businesses did not receive the visibility they deserved. In order to address this issue, we embarked on a mission to create a community-based platform that would enable new businesses to market themselves, providing our users with a plethora of options to meet their needs.
Why Reet?
In Punjabi, Reet means tradition or ritual. We hope our platform will help our communities celebrate traditions and rituals by helping connect businesses with end users and host successful events.

Hi! I'm a Sikh Punjabi-American who co-founded this company with my amazing partners. I was born and raised in the Bay Area. A little bit about myself: I love playing basketball, indulging in delicious food, and traveling with my wife! I have a strong passion for building connections and bringing people together, and I believe that Reet accomplishes this goal exceptionally well.
This business was born out of necessity. When I was planning my own wedding, I realized how many different components were involved in a Sikh wedding. There are multiple vendors to deal with for each event, and my fiancé and I simply didn't have the time to survey the landscape and thoroughly research vendors. So, like many others, we turned to our married friends for recommendations. Needless to say, we knew there had to be a better way!
I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved at Reet, and I am committed to continuing our success here. I hope you enjoy the process of finding vendors for your various needs as much as we enjoyed creating this platform. Our website is not only for weddings but also for all our community activities. We aim to bring our communities closer together and promote the success of local businesses.
